An important lesson
January 20, 2008 at 9:46 am | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a commentPassing by the coffee shop, the smell recalls my memory of my science teacher, always sitting by the window with her coffee. That was a beautiful evening, we talked about the school work, but concluded with a sentence” Don’t worry, be happy”.
Mrs. Wu is a great teacher who taught us science for two years. During the last year of my junior high, she quit her job because of the disease. She didn’t tall us anything about her condition but all of the class knew it from her husband- another science teacher who replaced her to teach us during the last year. At that evening, she smelled and said something positive to encourage me to face the exam to high school. Her voice was really soft, but her words were as strong as a tiger- because she was born in the year of tiger as she always said. At that evening, she didn’t tell us anything about her self, but I knew that she was encouraging me but also her self to face the disease.
Mrs. Wu always said, “There were only life for each other, but you can make your life more beautiful than others!” Now I realize the meaning of the sentence, Mrs. Wu, even though she got the terrible disease, still loved her life. She always smiled and said nothing when we asked about her condition; she told us to live our life to the fullest and showed us by her vitality. It was because her words that I realized that I have to make my life full of happiness, I became positive.
It happened on the day when we had the practice exam, our loved teacher passed away. All of the class was under the sadness of the bad news, then, her husband gave us a letter from Mrs. Wu, it said,”Even my life is going to an end, but I know my life is a beautiful one, how many people can think of the things that they had experienced when they are dying? I feel happy, don’t feel sad for me, I am just closing my eyes and have a long rest, don’t feel sad, I will bless you guys to have a perfect score in the exam to high school ”. That was the first time she talked about her condition, and also the last time. Teardrop in all of our eyes.
Sitting alone in the café I know I have to be a happy person like Mrs. Wu. Don’t worry, be happy; everything will be just fine, I know my teacher’s great power is blessing me from the heaven. Now I am a happy person, always stay positive!
