classical music
October 18, 2007 at 4:49 pm | Posted in Uncategorized | 3 CommentsUnlike other teenagers, I am always fond of classical music. My favorite is based on three simple reasons: First, I love classical music because I learn classical music; I know how hard performers have to practice before a concert, so every time when I listen to classical music, I‘ll think of the process of my piano-learning life, imagining as if I were the player. Second, listening to this kind of music can also train my listening skills. Classical music is consisted of many different “sounds”; I enjoy recognizing the instrument which is playing the main melody. Third, I am a member of an orchestra, and most of them love classical music as well, and we talk about it during the practice time. Their passion for and interest in the music really touched me.

Classical music and current 21 century compostions present a way of presenting a feeling and ideas without the use of visual aid, which in so many ways is amazing.

I too love classical music, as both a performer and a composer! I actually just wrote a blog post about 21st century music performance.
